GRiT Ambassador Program

The NICA GRiT Ambassador Program aims to engage female student-athletes in spreading the word about the GRiT Program within NICA leagues. The GRiT Ambassador will be a student-athlete representative for the GRiT Program, help raise awareness of the effort to get #moregirlsonbikes and, most importantly, be a local advocate and voice for what our female student-athletes want out of the GRiT Program. GRiT Ambassadors play a key role in recruiting and retaining more girls in NICA programs at the state level.

Ashlynn Anderson

Senior - Garrett County Coyotes

  • I am a member of my high schools track team.

  • I've been skiing since I was one year old.

  • I’ve danced on the Grand Ole Opry Stage.

Sophia Papadakis

Senior - Mountain Lions Composite

  • I love to ski and have been skiing for 12 years.

  • My favorite food is anything chocolate.

  • I am a member of my schools robotics team.

Emerson Eatough

Senior - Catonsville Bolts

  • I do pole vault as my other sport.

  • I love going to concerts.

  • I can ride a unicycle.

Ava Tine

Senior - Mount DeSales Academy

  • I love to act and participate in musicals.

  • My favorite TV show is The Chosen.

  • My favorite books are (ironically), Anne of Green Gables and The Hunger Games

Senior - Monocacy Composite

  • I have been biking with MICL for 5 years.

  • My favorite color is blue.

  • I am also on the track and field team where

    I compete in pole vault.

Junior - Gunpowder Mills Racers

  • I love participating in musical theater. This past year I was in Mama Mia!

  • My favoriate fruit ever is mango.

  • I am a social butterfly and will talk to everyone I can both on and off the trail!

Audra Mikalauskas

  • I play lacrosse and field hockey.

  • My dream career is to be a dentist.

  • I learned how to ride my bike without training wheels on my 4th birthday.

  • I play lacrosse and basketball.

  • I have been racing bikes inces I was 5 years old.

  • I’ve been to Florida 5 times.

  • I saved a skunk from drowning in a pool.

  • I was diagnosed with Leukemia last year.
