The Maryland GRiT committee is excited to announce a collaboration event between the Maryland and West Virginia Leagues. Please join us for a GRiT event at Deep Creek Lake on Sunday, August 4 from 11-2 at the Oak Picnic Shelter. Better yet, make it a weekend and camp with us on Saturday night!
We have reserved 15 campsites. You can have 2 tents per site for a total of 6 people. Each site is allowed 2 vehicles. All camping equipment and vehicles must remain on the gravel pads. The sites we have reserved are on the non-pet loop. If you have a pet you wish to bring, you will have to make your own accommodations in a different part of the park. Please be aware that the Maryland Park Services requires a two night minimum stay. The sites are reserved from Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 5th.
How to Claim a Campsite:
Group Hold Code: DC19-336009
To claim a site and create a reservation, group members may contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267 or go online to https://parkreservations.maryland.gov/ and provide the Group Hold Code. Reservations are paid in full at the time they are made, and if they need to be canceled or modified, standard cancellation fees will apply.
To claim a site using the reservation website, customers must login in or create an account. Once logged in, group members must navigate to “My Reservations” and select Group Hold Reservations from the Quick Links. Customers will be required to enter the Group Hold Code to claim a site that is being held for your group.
Please be sure to utilize the group hold by Friday, July 26 (11:00 PM). Any sites that are not claimed by that time will be released.
Quiet hours begin at 10 and all parties are expected to be in their areas by that time.
Check out is at 1 PM. You will need to be checked out of your campsite before the GRiT event unless you have plans to stay Sunday night too!
If you are coming up for the day, please be aware that there is a $3 per person charge for entering the park and obtaining a day use pass. If you are camping, your day pass is included in your camping fee.
Deep Creek Lake is a TRASH FREE park. This means that you are responsible for your own trash and must pack out what you bring in.
